Good Day / Bad Day

Today has been both for me ..

My day started out having coffee with the man I love ,

he left for work and I left for the airport to

do a Make a Wishsend off. The families of these

kids are amazing , and the children are a delight..

So thrilled to be going to see Mickey or going to

the Grand Canyon -- whatever

their wish is . To see tiny people with such huge

problems and still see them smile is amazing. Makes me

thankful that I had a healthy child and

now we have a healthy grandchild..

Then I get home and my day changes.. I have a sister that

I don't speak to (long story), and she is having cervical

spine surgery today.. I am worried about her..

I don't like her , but I love her because she is my sister..

Then my other sister calls and I can tell from the

tone of her voice that something is really wrong.

Our aunt is fighting for her life and has been for the past

10 years . Well, she talked my youngest sister Karen

yesterday- It was very unusual because Doris

never calls during the week.

She was confused and cryptic.. Karen is really upset.

We don't know what is going on , as I said our aunt is a

very private person and does not want to "trouble" us.

Nothing we can do but hope...and pray

Today would have been mom's 81st birthday

February SUCKS

It has been a crappy month so far..

I have a spot on my left shoulder blade about the size of

a tennis ball that

DOES NOT hurt..

(2/18/2008 -There seems to be some misunderdstanding

here--

I do not have a lump om my shoulder-

Don't I look weird

enough withoutyou picturing me doing

Quasimodo impersonation???

It just meant that I

have only a small part of my large

body that was NOT in

pain at that moment)

The rest of my body feels like I have been hung over

a slow fire , had grape jam rubbed in my hair

and was beaten with a shovel.

Ahhh yes , the rainy season !!

rain and cold are killing me

Had the shots in my knee on Thursday and with the

crappy weather I don't feel any difference in the knee.

Golden Years my ass.

Everything is hurting , sagging or swelling

Plus now our subdivision has become the

target of burgulars.

Three break-ins in one week.

Now doesn't that make you feel secure??

The way I am feeling they better stay away from me

because they won't have to worry about the dogs,

I'LL BITE THEM if they break in here.

Oh God ,I need some sunshine

These dull gray days are killing me !!!

I am so down, I don't even feel like

reading . Even if I did , my face is holding

fluid on the right side so my glasses add to the pressure

if I have them on more than 10 min.

Isn't life FUN ?!?!?!?!?!

I am sick of being in the house ,and I am sick of the

fuc*$ng high gas prices that make going anywhere

a financial burden.

More from the visit

Tom is home from work--

he was having some pain --

well really a lot of pain--Kidney Stones

He went to the clinic and they sent

him home with a prescription for pain killers.

Now he just waits for the stone(s) to pass.

Now for the latest Jack update..

He re-named all of the dogs while he was here.

Foster is "Ster"

Buddy is "Buud"

But the best one

Smokey is "He"

I guess because I would pet

Smokey and say --

He's a good boy or He's sooo big

So Jack started calling him "HE"

Jack's reply to almost everything is

"NO".

So Jack was playing on the exercise bike

and Pa asked him can you say anything beside NO??

Jack looked at him and said

Yes

and went back to playing

Of course we went to the fire station

because Pa has big trucks there..

Jack was high fiving everybody

Jack can open ANY door.

He likes to color, and

he hates to nap. He also sings and

dances to certain tv programs .

Now for the ever present RANT !!!

For the elevendy seventh time I have

tried to get a BUNCO club going ..

Well once again the idea was welcomed

with all of the enthusiasm of a

turd in a hot tub. What is wrong with

people?? Are they sooo afraid

that they might actually do something

fun, that they ban all suggestions

unless it comes from the "church group"??

LADIES , WAKE UP !!!

This is 2008

You do not have to spend every waking

moment in the company of your husband

and kids. Some of us have actually taken the

plunge and vacationed with girls friends,

left the country without our husbands, left our kids

in the care of their other parent. Yes, it is legal!!!

I cannot believe that people are so insecure

that the slightest hint of change and they

run for cover..
