Make a Wish

All this started out of boredom-- I was looking for

something to do..

Tom goes to the farm on the weekends and it is not something

I want to do every week. A woman can only make so

many bracelets then that gets to be boring and

I have only 2 arms .. So it was time to find something else to do.

I started looking a different groups , and

after much reading and internet surfing , I thought

I would try Make A Wish. A great organization

for children with life threatening illnesses.

I filled out the paper work and submitted my info..

***

My 1st volunteer experience was on Oct 6th

at McCain Mall.. There was a talent show and 13

of us showed up to help process forms, take pictures.

What ever needed to be done. I told them that

Serena & Jack were visiting and I needed to be out of there

by NOON- there was no problem with that.

This is a good thing because my family will always

come first.

Then on October 20th - I attended the training

to be a Wish Granter. I think I am going to like this .

Sure there is leg work , paper work and other things that go

along, but it is nice to do something for somebody.

On Oct 24- I was given my first assignment !!!

Once everything is set and done then I will tell you

more .. Lets just say-- I am glad I signed

on with Make A Wish.

I am a big guy now .. I can sit at the table and

NOT use a baby chair !

My Grandpa and me play a game I call

"Ding Ding Ding "

I back up to "Pa" --

(that is his new name-I gave it to him)

and I say "ding ding ding"
and Pa picks me up and swings me like

a bell!!

This is the best game ever !!!

Day 3 on meds ....

I am on day 3 of the meds.. still feel like crap - and have now found some

other things that are annoying the crap out of me ..

I feel like I have a small water balloon in my chest,

when I roll over - it makes me cough ,

which makes me get out of bed -- you get the picture ..

PLUS , now I have developed some kind of animal concert

in my nose when I am trying to sleep--

At any given time , you might hear , a sea gull ,

a piglet or a goose and I think I sometimes

hear something whistling --

and none of these are musical enough to let me sleep..

So I am sloshing and making weird noises..

I am ready for this crap tp be G O N E ..

The inside of my nose feels like it is on fire ..

My throat feels like somebody has been rubbing it with sandpaper

aaarrgghhhhhhhhhh- hacking , coughing, going back to bed ..

BUT !!!!

First let me tell you about the ongoing TV adventure

Yes , they had to take it in to repair it --ON WaRRANTY

that was last week.. I called on Tuesday -

they were supposed to call me and let me know what was going on.

(They Did Not Call- SURPRISE(

I called them yesterday and was told that is was done,

okay, when will I get it back. Well that is not my department,

and the guy taking care of it is out.

I leave my name, number and receipt number.

Did anybody call me ??

HELL NO !!

So today I call 2 times and get the same crap.

When Tom gets home , I asked him to call,

they tell him the computer is down and they don't know nuthin'

As you can tell, I must be feeling better , because I think

they by tomorrow I will be ready to

growl and snarl at somebody..

11 months and 1 week

That is how old our Sharp tv is -- the one that was working

fine and then the picture went down to the

size of a pin head..

Fortunately - we found the receipt.. then the

journey into the forbidden land of "WARRANTY"..

First you get to TRY to talk to somebody at Circuit City--

instead you spend 10 min pushing buttons that

will get you cut off.

Call back again - try a different set of buttons-

get cut off AGAIN-- 3rd time , I pressed all

of the WRONG buttons and got to

speak to a young man named Marc.

He gives me a call record number and tries

to switch me over to SHARP-- Sharp cuts me off.

Fortunately Marc had given me the 800# for Sharp

before we ended our conversation..

Same crap-- push a button and wait until

the recording goes thru about 8 options-

You cannot push option 2 until all options are heard..

ARRRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...

Finally get to the warranty department..

Get yet another recording that tells me that

reps are busy and my approximate wait time is

going to be 26 min.

I'll call back later

Later I called back and this time it took approx. 12 min

to get thru-- only to be given a REF# and the phone

number of a warranty service center in my area..

This morning I call the warranty place at 8:30 and

a live person informs me that they do not open til 9am.

Why did she answer the phone???

So I leave my name and number -- only to not have

my call returned.. I call them back at 10:15-- Now the

warranty guy will be out Thur-- between 11am & 2pm..

Not thrilled but it was better than the original

between 11 &4..

That WAS NOT going to happen..

Then they call back and change my time from

9am - 11am --

MUCH better..

Now if they will just fix this or give me a new TV --

either one -- I don't care..A warranty is a good thing--
